Project details
I want to do internship at CBN (China Business Network), the biggest TV network for business in Shanghai, China. I will join the late business news section, "CBN Tonight" for two weeks. Network stations in China are a little different from the America, because American networks belong to companies or they are companies themselves; while in China, they all belong to the country (government). In comparison, American networks are free to say whatever they want to say, and Chinese networks are only allowed to say what the government wants to say. It is like a filter, the truth remains at the network stations, and information will be processed and then be broadcast. This is what I need, the orientation of government. Most importantly, I will have the first hand information about the economy information towards China and the rest of the world. I can approach the economy analysis with western view, combining with domestic view and see if I can get an objective conclusion on China’s economy.
